Gerrod undertook a number of projects for the Mine Safety Appliances headquarters in Cranberry, Pennsylvania.
A new dining facility was incorporated as a building expansion. In an effort to provide improved amenities, the former location of an outdoor smoking area became the location for the dining addition. Red metal rainscreen cladding was selected to complement the color of existing storefront and acted as an accent to the existing precast concrete facade.
New landscaping was introduced to allow for a more welcoming approach to the building entrance and soften the hardscape edge along the new patio. The newly-introduced patio provided building occupants with an outdoor seating option directly adjacent to the indoor dining area.
